Where we are
We are a short distance from the center of Cortina d’Ampezzo, where you can arrive even without moving your car.
If you like walking, our Hotel overlooks the panoramic pedestrian street, the former railway, which reaches the town center with a constant slope, also very convenient for mountain biking.
The bus stops right in front of the hotel with the line that takes you every 30 minutes not only to the town but also to the entrance to the Ampezzo Dolomites Natural Park, from the cross-country skiing center to the alpine skiing slopes.
The hotel’s location is particularly favorable for sports enthusiasts who are passionate about cross-country skiing, mountain biking and trekking. In fact, it is located right on the cycle path in summer and on the cross-country skiing path of the Fiames area in winter, part of Dolomiti Nordic Ski. Furthermore, there are numerous hiking trails that start directly from here.
The Cortina Hospital is also located in the immediate vicinity.
Once you arrive near the center of Cortina d’Ampezzo, by car you enter a one-way anti-clockwise ring road that goes around the pedestrian area of Corso Italia. Everywhere you can find indications to reach the main points of interest.
To get to our hotel, coming from the south, follow the signs for Dobbiaco – Bolzano – Brennero, heading north. The Hotel Des Alpes is about 2 kilometers from the centre.

Getting around by bus
Our hotel is served by the city bus line n. 1 BLUE: Autostazione – Majon – Bivio Ospedale – La Verra (Hotel Des Alpes) – Fiames and return to Piazza Roma.

During the winter season the bus is also a ski bus service (free for ski pass holders).
you can reach the main ski lifts by changing buses in Piazza Roma from where ski bus n. 8 leaves which leads to the Faloria and Freccia nel Cielo (Tofana) cable cars. Every 15 minutes from 8.30am to 5pm.
From Col Drusciè, reachable with the Freccia nel Cielo cable car, it is possible to connect on skis to the Tofana/Socrepes ski area.
To reach the area of 5 Torri, Col Gallina, Falzarego, Lagazuoi there is a line served by the Dolomitibus.
